Tips for leveling Character Figures:

Check-in Everything First

For Disney Infinity 2.0 and 3.0, in order to take advantage of the Experience Bonus, ensure that ALL owned toys are checked-in to the game first. The easiest way to do so is to create an Empty Toy Box, and then just start swapping Character Figures and Power Discs on/off the Disney Infinity Base. When this is complete, go back to the Main Menu and check the "Disney Infinity Collection" to view the total available Experience Bonus. This represents how much additional experience a Character Figure will earn, compared to a single new Character Figure at Level 0 for a new owner playing the game for the first time.

Note: When checking in Character Figures, Circular Power Discs, and Hexagonal Power Discs (specifically Textures) at the same time, make sure the Character Figure is already on the Disney Infinity Base and "in-game" before placing the Texture disc on the base. Otherwise, when the game asks "Would you like to switch your entire world to this new theme?", placing the Character Figure at that time may disrupt the dialog box, and the disc may need to be removed and replaced after the Character Figure has spawned.

Use the Latest Edition

If both Disney Infinity 2.0 and 3.0 are owned, and any 3.0 Character Figures are also owned, level the Character Figure under 3.0 first, and then transfer its progress back to 2.0. This is because in 3.0, a +5% bonus is gained per 3.0 Character Figure owned - which is, of course, neither applicable nor available under 2.0.

Build a Spark Generator

Create a new Empty Toy Box and place a number of Toys that will continually generate Sparks (relatively) quickly. For an example, see Spark Generator 211.

Use Power Discs

Some Ability Discs such as Mickey's Sorcerer Hat and User Control provide a chance for additional experience Sparks. Two can be combined to further reduce the amount of effort needed to level a Character Figure.
